Simplify the complexities of enterprise software
Enterprise applications and frameworks are supposed to simplify your business, bring your workforce together and promote collaboration. Most systems are overly complex, expensive to implement and customizations are very difficult. Let Scharf Holdings build and design your line of business applications for the enterprise, connecting all of your disparate applications, databases and systems into an easy to use and maintain, scalable package.
Single sign on; Federated Identity for the Enterprise
Single sign on allows users to have a single identity federated between different applications both inside a network and outside of the network with external systems, vendors, web sites, etc. Federated identity is nothing new, some of the earliest forms of this include Windows NT authentication with a domain controller to access different resources throughout a network, then Active Directory, Novell systems, etc. All of these concepts accomplish the same goal in the enterprise, give users a single user name and password to remember and allow them to log in using a single identity to any application or resources they need access to throughout the organization, including partner sites, etc.
When dealing with providers, portals or applications outside of the company control, SAML allows the easiest and most industry wide accepted method for federating identity across physical and logical boundaries. The SAML specifications drafted by OASIS both version 1.x and 2.0 give your partners and other software vendors the ability to exchange key and trust information and to federate identity for single sign on in a consistent and unified way.
Scharf Holdings has experience in both SAML versions and technologies, components and software for managing both identity providers (IdP) and service providers (Sp) single sign on (SSO), single sign out (SLO) and the different bindings and supported protocols between each. Let us get you integrated with a partner that offers SSO, or let us unify your existing enterprise internally with an Active Directory or other single sign on solution for federated identity.
